Steelwork

The protective coating on the structure contained lead and the necessary protective measures where implemented in accordance with the ‘Lead at Work’ regulations.
We completely removed all loose, suspect poorly adhering, flaking or otherwise defective coatings back to a firm sound base. All corrosion and scale was removed using most appropriate power/manual tools to achieve a minimum ST3 surface standard. Following removal of all defective coatings abrade and dust off well.

- One coat of Interseal 670 aluminium two pack surface tolerant epoxy primer to a minimum dft of 100 microns.
- One coat of Interseal 670 two pack surface tolerant epoxy intermediate coating to a minimum dft. of 100 microns.
- One coat of one coat of Interthane 990 two pack polyurethane finish to a minimum dft. of 50 microns.
- Coatings to be applied in accordance with the paint manufactures recommendations.

Woodwork

Completely remove all loose, suspect poorly adhering, flaking or otherwise defective coatings back to a firm sound base.
Following removal of all defective coatings abrade and dust off well.

One coat of wood primer was applied to all bare areas, followed by one full coat of undercoat and one coat of gloss.
